Most tools on PDFHome (including Merge PDF) process your files entirely inside your web browser using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your PDF files are never uploaded to our servers or any third party for these tools — the entire operation, from reading the file to generating the download, happens on your own device.

A small number of advanced tools may require server-side processing to produce a high-fidelity result. When that is the case, it will be clearly stated on that tool's page, and any file temporarily transmitted for processing is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers, typically within one hour of upload.

We collect two categories of information:

• Usage analytics — via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, we collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, tool used, browser type, approximate region) to understand how the site is used and to fix bugs.
• Contact information — only if you email us directly, in which case we retain that correspondence to respond to you.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
