About PDFHome

PDFHome is a free toolkit for working with PDF files — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing and securing documents — built around one core idea: your files are yours, and they shouldn't have to leave your device just to be edited.

Wherever technically possible, PDFHome processes files entirely inside your web browser using modern in-browser document libraries. That means no upload wait, no server-side storage of your documents, and no risk of a data breach exposing files you never intended to share. For the handful of tools that genuinely require server-side processing (such as high-fidelity Office document conversion), files are deleted automatically shortly after processing completes.

We built PDFHome because most online PDF tools force a trade-off: pay for a desktop app, or upload sensitive documents to an unfamiliar server and hope for the best. We think you should be able to merge a contract or compress a scanned ID without either of those compromises.
